Dictating your work via voice recordings is often a faster and easier method for collecting your ideas. But after you've recorded "The End," it will be time to turn those audio files into a written document that you can start developing for publication. That's where transcription comes into play.
Having a digital copy of your work provides more versatility and security for your project.
Timing: Approximately 1 - 2 weeks per 10 hours of audio.
AUDIO TRANSCRIPTION SERVICE IN A NUTSHELL
1: Send us your audio recordings. You can upload these during the checkout process.
2: We'll create a Word document with the text version of your recordings.
3: We email the Word document to you and you can use it to complete the remainder of the book development process. Easy!
AUDIO TRANSCRIPTION: Step-by-Step
- Upload your audio recordings.
- Purchase the appropriate length in minutes of your audio file (30 minutes, 200 minutes, 1,800 minutes, etc.). If you're unsure, you can select the option to get an invoice so that you can pay the minimum order amount now and we'll invoice you the remainder based on the length of your audio file.
- Once your files and payment are received, we will create a Word file containing all the text of your recordings. Remember that this is not an editing service. We won't be making any deliberate changes to the content, only typing it up for you. So if you skipped saying certain words or there are issues with things like your plot or character development, you'll need to address those with professional editors once you have the text file.
- We email you the document so you can use it to continue your book development journey.
